Getting Started
Quick Start Guide
- Create a Course - Tap Settings, then "Add Course" to create your first course
- Set Pars - Customize par values for each hole (default is par 4)
- Add Players - Add up to 4 players in Settings (free tier: 2 players)
- Start Scoring - Swipe left on any hole to add strokes, swipe right to subtract
- Track Stats - Premium users can track fairways hit and putts per hole
- Save Your Round - Tap "Save Round" when finished to add to your history

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I add or remove strokes?
A: Swipe left on a hole row to add a stroke, swipe right to subtract. You can also tap the numbers directly to edit.
Q: How do I switch between players?
A: Use the player picker at the top of the scorecard. With 2-4 players, you'll see a segmented control. With more players, you'll see a dropdown menu.
Q: Can I change par values for each hole?
A: Yes! Go to Settings, select your course, and use the steppers to adjust par for any hole (range: 1-10).
Q: How do I save a completed round?
A: Tap the "Save Round" button at the bottom of the scorecard. This saves all players' scores to your history (Premium feature).
Q: Where is my data stored?
A: All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Nothing is uploaded to any servers. See our
Privacy Policy for details.
Q: Can I track fairways and putts?
A: Yes! Premium users can tap on any hole in the scorecard to see a detail view where you can track fairways hit and number of putts.
Q: How do I restore my premium purchase?
A: Go to Settings or Stats tab, and tap "Restore Purchases" at the bottom of the premium unlock section. Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID.
Q: Can I use this app offline?
A: Yes! SwipeScore works completely offline. All features are available without an internet connection.
Q: How do I delete a course or player?
A: In Settings, swipe left on any course or player row to reveal the delete button. Note: Deleting a player will also delete all their scores.
Q: Can I share my scorecard?
A: Yes! Use the share button to export your scorecard as an image. You can share via Messages, Mail, social media, or AirDrop.
Q: What happens to my data if I delete the app?
A: All data is removed when you delete the app. Make sure to save any important scorecards as images before uninstalling.
Q: Does SwipeScore support 9-hole courses?
A: Currently, only 18-hole courses are supported. 9-hole support may be added in a future update.
Troubleshooting
Premium not unlocking after purchase
- Check your internet connection
- Tap "Restore Purchases" in Settings or Stats tab
- Restart the app
- If issue persists, contact Apple Support for App Store purchase issues
Scores not saving
- Ensure you have Premium unlocked (History is a premium feature)
- Check that you've tapped "Save Round" button
- Make sure the app has storage permissions
App crashing or freezing
- Force quit the app and restart
- Update to the latest version from the App Store
- Restart your device
